Safeguarding

At Living Waters Church we recognise the responsibility of each individual to prevent the physical, sexual and emotional abuse, or neglect of children and young people as well as vulnerable adults.

We also recognise the responsibility that we have as a church to act if abuse comes to light; and to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from the possibility of suffering abuse within the church or in the course of its activities. For this reason we follow a comprehensive child protection policy, which is based on guidance from the Thirtyone:eight (Churches Safeguarding Advisory Service) and is reviewed annually. All our youth and children’s workers are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked regularly.

For further information or to see a copy of our child protection policy, please contact the team.

We love Living Waters because...

I remember arriving at living waters over 13 years ago and on that day meeting a few of the people who are still my closest friends now. I had come from a lively, noisy church in London, so the style suited me straight away. But over time I have come to realise that the most important thing in church is not the style but the heart. I love that at the heart of Living Waters we want to connect on a deeper level with God and each other. This has been a real journey for me, learning how to be more vulnerable and trusting in relationships, but the reward has been some of the deepest and most enduring friendships I've had in my life! And we have a lot of fun, fun is very important!!
