Children's and Youth Work

At Living Waters Church we are committed to presenting teaching about the Christian faith in a way that is relevant and enjoyable for children and young people of all ages.  We want to prepare every child and young person in our church to impact their world and have a variety of children’s and youth groups meeting each Sunday.  The welcoming team will be happy to introduce you to  group leaders before the service.

            0-2yrs

A space for parents to take their young children if they wish to during the service; with toys, craft materials, an area to feed and change babies and a sound link to enable you to hear what is going on in the main hall.

              3yrs to YR

We want our youngest children to learn how much God loves them and wants to be their friend.  The Little Giants usually leave the service with their group leaders at around 10.30am and move to the gym where they have plenty of space for games, songs, stories and craft activities.  The children will be brought back to the main hall by their leaders at 11.30am.

              Y1-Y6

As children begin to grow up they learn more about what it means to be a Christian.  Through Bible based teaching, games, craft activities, worship and prayer, they explore many aspects of faith; and have a lot of fun!  The group will usually divide into smaller age groups for part of the session.  The Josiah Giants usually leave the service with their group leaders at around 10.30am and meet in the drama studios.  The children will be brought back to the main hall by their leaders at 11.30am.

                  Y7-Y11

Axiom is about encouraging young people to grow in maturity in their faith so that they can lead a Christian life build on strong foundations and talk confidently about Jesus in their worlds.  The programme involves a mixture of interactive, multimedia bible teaching, games and activities with time for worship and prayer in a way that is relevant for this generation.  The young people leave the service after worship has finished, meeting in one of the classrooms, and return at the end of the service.  Some of those in year 11 choose to stay in the service.

                        Y11-Y13+

The older teenagers and young adults meet in evening homegroups.  Please ask one of the welcomers to introduce you to the homegroup leaders if you are interested.

The Youth and Children’s Team also organise regular events such as outings, picnics, plays, family services and residentials (for the older ones) throughout the year.
