COFFEE DROP IN
Living Waters loves to get involved in our local community. We want to tell people about Jesus. We also want to share God’s love for individuals by helping them in practical ways. We provide a coffee drop in called Open House.
Open House is a ‘drop in’ for the local community where all are welcome.
It runs on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10.00am until 12.00pm at the YMCA in Clevedon.
Call in for a tea or coffee and a chat and you will find a family atmosphere where you will be listened to and supported. Each session there is, what the members have nicknamed, the “God Slot”. This is when the group read a ‘thought for the day’ based on a short passage from the Bible and have a discussion about what they have read. The team also share with the group the ways in which God has worked in their own lives.
The team leader told us "A few years ago a young lad came along to Open House. He was an alcoholic struggling with relationship problems. He was also living on the streets of Clevedon. Through coming to Open House this young man invited Jesus into his life. He then left Clevedon for a while and the team continued to pray for him. Recently one of the team caught up with him and reported that God has completely transformed him both physically and spiritually!"
