Life groups
Our Life Group Launch Sunday was great! It was good to hear from people to whom Life Groups have made a significant difference in their lives. As we have launched them it’s good to remind ourselves of their key purpose.
We want to grow passionate followers of Jesus.
We are achieving this by creating small groups and environments that connect people. We want people to be on this journey together. To feel the support and encouragement of others as we go through the ups and downs of this life.
We want to form friendships that will change us. We need people around us who love us enough to ask the challenging questions about our life. ‘How are we really doing?’ ‘Why do we keep reacting in certain ways?’ ‘What are our priorities?’
We want to create a culture of mission. Jesus commanded us to go into all the world. We need to be convinced that this life is not about us but about others. We want to take Jesus into every area of this world - into our work places, our schools and our extended families.
Life Groups are more than an opportunity to get together during a week and socialize. They are more than a chance to pray and discuss. They are where we are going to be built together into a fully functioning body to do the work that God has given us, His church, to do.
